45 days is how long a broiler chicken is on this earth. Hatched, 45 days of abuse, cooked.
45 days is also half our pcp, woohoo!
I'm fed up failing at Push-Ups when I was getting good at them 3 weeks ago. Also, I got really bored skipping for 14 minutes t'other day, so today I decided to break it up into the prescribed sets but in between them I did Push-Ups. Needless to say on set 4 of the Push-Ups I was cursing my ambition but I got through it all nonetheless. Not sure of the benefit/detriment of having a two-minute break between sets of Push Ups? This approach also made skipping for so long more than bearable; I would skip normally for 1 minute, then when my watch beeped I would do tricks for the next minute. I tripped many, many times but every time I fell off the horse I jumped back on within a second or two and at the end of the sets dropped to the bars and started pushing. In the future I will do the same thing but alternate Push-Ups with Pull-Ups, I hate not being able to the full reps of these, I think this approach will pay-off but will double-check with The Patrick.
Strength training awaits me this evening, warm-up taken care of as I'm riding the bike around everywhere at the mo.
I was told that failure at something you were good at a few days ago = you have been shredding your muscles, therefore is good.
ReplyDeleteHaving problems with skipping myself, but will not opt for push-ups in between.
And OMG the difference in your abs is amazing. Look at that definition Kevin. No wonder you have such a huge grin on your face. Excellent. Keep at it.
Man, I hear you on the push ups. Its push ups and pullups. I was doing great at the push ups a few weeks ago and now they are incredibly difficult. What happened? Pull ups, I felt like I was making gains, and this last time it was like I totally hit a wall. Anyway, you're not alone there...
ReplyDeleteThat said... loved the skipping video!!! Very inspirational. Throw a few back flips in there and you'll be a YouTube sensation in no time!
