Received this email from a lady in the office today:
"I noticed this morning that you lost lots of weight. If you are on diet don't be anymore, you are tall and you can "afford" to have some "fat". I am not trying to be mean….I am just concerned"
Concerned that you look like a heffer in comparison? I refuse to lower my standards. There is no such thing as a comfort zone, it is not comfortable being out of shape and accepting failure. I live to seek my own good approval.
On a happier note...
A far wiser man than I, who reads the Wall Street Journal, sent me a link today.
My favourite part:
"You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle."
Steve Jobs.
LOL... what an odd email. Maybe she likes her men a bit more Rubenesque!
ReplyDeleteI remember when Jobs gave that speech... brilliant. Here's hoping he lives a long and healthy life.
Whoa! That's strange email..M sure she mite be jealous of ur great body coz his guy must be far away from the physique as urs... :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, GFY springs to mind. You can only take it as a compliment.
ReplyDeletePure jealousy. Stick to your standards. You can but laugh.
ReplyDeleteWhat an odd email to write to somebody. I always wonder when people say, "I don't want to sound mean." as of course they damn well want to otherwise they would just STFU.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Scotland.
Thanks gang, water off a duck's back at this point, but worthy of note.
